The hammer features a white face to one side, and a blue face to the other, giving one hammer optimised for two applications. The white face is hard nylon, and perfect for general light and heavy assembly work. For lighter and more precise hammering applications, the blue face is preferred.
What's special about the Xpert faces? Xpert's faces have been designed with flared shoulders for extra strength, and to prevent fracture from misdirected blows. The faces are made for longevity of use, but like all faces, they will become worn over time. So, they are replaceable. There is no need to replace a hammer in years to come, just remove the face, and screw-in a new one.
